Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) founder, Jeff Bezos, unveiled the tech company’s highly anticipated tablet computer the Kindle Fire this morning. However, there were more goodies in the basket. Amazon is also launching a line of new, more affordable Kindles. ��What we are doing is offering premium products at non-premium prices,�� Bezos said.
The new line of Kindle e-readers start at $79, which is $25 less than the previous models. The Kindle Fires start as low as $199, less than half the price of the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad.

Amazon��s stock (NASDAQ:AMZN) is up 2.52% to $229.90 on the news. Shares are up 43.96% in the past 52 weeks. The stock has traded in a 52-week range between $151.40 and $244.00.
