Earlier today, Google launched manual spam actions to Google Webmaster Tools where you can see if your site currently has a manual spam action.
To help those who have received some of these manual action notifications, Google created seven videos for the most common manual action notifications. The videos include user-generated spam, hidden text and/or keyword stuffing, pure spam, thin content with little or no added value video, unnatural Links to site video, unnatural links from your site and unnatural Links to site – impacts links.
I’ve watched the videos and Google, mostly Matt Cutts, does a very good job giving examples of the types of sites or actions that are affected by these manual penalties. They give examples of the sites or pages that may be impacted by the penalty and even sometime offering the chances of recovering from such a penalty. Then Google goes onto how to resolve the issue so that you can submit a reconsideration request. You most likely can learn from watching these videos.
